What a crazy weekend! I started out bored outta my mind. Saturday I went to town in Naarden and bought some essential and just explored. In my exploration I stopped for lunch. Lunch was yummy the first time. It was a pancake with cheese cooked on top, powdered sugar, and very thick syrup. Now I say the "first time" because after I shopped I came home around 2 and ended up getting sick. I think the cheese and syrup just didn't agree. It really wasn't that foreign of a meal. Anyhow, I ended up sleeping the rest of my saturday off. I was a bit dehydrated all night and felt like crap. So, what else would I do.
Today I went to church. It was quite an interesting day. I ventured out with specific directions and no map. Some how I came close, but still got lost. Church started at 10 (sacrament at 11:45). I rode to the train station on my bike and then took a train to the next town. Once I got there I started walking. What should have been a 15 minute walk turned into a 1hr 30 min walk in a skirt! Thank goodness I had a change of shoes for riding the bike. Eventually, with the help of a stranger, who was in his yard with his family, insisted on driving me there because I was in tears by then. I felt silly, but it all worked out. I didn't arrive until about 30 minutes before sacrament meeting ended. My original intention was to find a familiar setting and meet people. This much I did accomplish and more. Some very cute missionary(from SLC) sat next to me and translated the whole meeting. Very nice of him especially since he has only been here 3 months himself! Good practice I guess. Right after the meeting ended the entire congregation (20 people) came running up to me. It was very nice of them to welcome me, but I found myself a bit overwhelmed and anxious by it. Next thing I know I had been offered about 10 rides to church and was on my way to the stake presidents house for lunch! Lunch was great and the company even better. They made me feel at home and I got a list of the entire ward and everyone that could give me a ride. Being that I hadn't been well last night I was happy that we just simply ate soup! Their soup here is basically a broth with whatever else you want to add to it and bread. The bread is the best part because there are always plenty of toppings. Of the bunch my favorites are pesto, butter or cheese! I am not sure I could have handled anything more. Oh and the Young Men presidents was at lunch too because he is close friends of the Stake president. He is from SLC as well. Its a small world after all! =D hahaha
In the end we chatted for a couple hours and I was given a ride back to my bike in Naarden. A sick stomach, getting lost, and soup was crazy in itself. I am tired and want to just sleep some more, but it will do me no good. As upset and frustrated as I was...it turned out pretty good. Once I got home we ate soup! Hahah It was good though. My stomach loved it. Ok well I must go now. Nighty Night!
p.s. I miss my ipod! My shuffle just doesn't do the job it used to. Especially for being lost!

Oh BTW I had soup and bread for dinner too!
So it sounds like you went to a branch if there were only 20 people there. Do you know if there is a ward or a branch closer to Becky, or will you be going to the same one, I wonder?
Glad to hear the soup is treating you well :)
